Drexel University's Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) program demonstrates the institution's dedication to interdisciplinary learning that bridges theory and real-world application. This collaborative initiative between the School of Economics, the Department of Politics, and the Department of English and Philosophy offers students a multifaceted approach to solving today's intricate, interrelated societal issues. The curriculum combines philosophical rigor, practical research methodologies, and evidence-based political and economic frameworks, with each field enriching the others through alternative viewpoints and critical analysis.
PPE majors start their academic journey with PPE101, an interactive seminar exploring how these three disciplines converge to address practical challenges. Learners gain proficiency in the PPE methodology while employing it to analyze pressing global concerns including economic disparity, social justice, media liberties, conflict, gender discrimination, racial equity, and humanitarian crises.
