As an attorney, you'll encounter distinct challenges daily, ranging from navigating intricate contracts to effectively presenting cases in court. That's precisely why DePaul College of Law provides foundational education to equip you for contemporary legal issues, combined with innovative methods for hands-on training. Through both academic study and real-world experience, DePaul's thorough program readies you for a legal career and more.
To obtain a Health Law Certificate, students must fulfill the 86-credit Juris Doctor requirement along with all JD prerequisites. Within the JD coursework, students need to complete 15 credits from designated health law classes, including two mandatory courses and a minimum of three electives. Candidates must maintain at least a 3.20 GPA in Certificate courses. Should a student complete more than 15 credits from the approved selection, all grades from those classes will contribute to the Certificate's 3.20 GPA minimum. Previously taken classes, courses from other DePaul departments, and newly introduced seminars may count toward the Certificate with proper authorization.
