The combined Bachelor's and Master of Arts program enables students to earn 12 graduate credits during their undergraduate studies. This opportunity is open to Sociology majors and all other undergraduate disciplines at DePaul University. These graduate credits can fulfill elective requirements in their senior year while also serving as the initial year of the Sociology MA program. Participants receive their bachelor's degree after meeting undergraduate requirements, followed by the MA upon completing graduate requirements. The TEACH Program integrates a Liberal Arts and Social Sciences undergraduate major (such as Anthropology, Economics, or related fields) or a Science and Health (Psychology) major with a College of Education master's program. Graduates earn either a BA/BS in their major field along with a MEd and Illinois Secondary Social Science teaching certification. Applications for TEACH are accepted in junior year spring, requiring enrollment in TCH 320 and meeting criteria including 16 DePaul credit hours and a 3.0 GPA. Seniors must complete the TCH 390 capstone and three dual-counting 400-level courses for both degrees.
