The Computer Science program offers courses designed for the Associate in Science in Computer Science for Transfer degree, delivering a fundamental grasp of the field, diverse curriculum coverage, and preparation for transfer to any CSU accepting the Transfer Model Curriculum (TMC). This program serves as an entry point for students pursuing careers in software engineering, network administration, and database management—fields with high demand for technical expertise. It also establishes a base for studies in physical sciences, mathematics, and engineering. The Associate in Science in Computer Science for Transfer targets students aiming to earn a bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or a related approved major) at a CSU institution. Graduates with this degree are assured admission into the CSU system, though not to a specific campus or program. Those transferring to a participating CSU campus will need no more than 60 semester units post-transfer to complete their bachelor's degree. However, this degree might not suit students planning to transfer to a specific CSU campus or a non-CSU institution. Students are encouraged to consult with an advisor for detailed guidance on university admission and transfer criteria.
