Our graduate program boasts a distinguished history of cultivating exceptional scholars through its demanding yet adaptable curriculum, guided by the globally recognized faculty of the Dyson School. Both the M.S. and Ph.D. programs emphasize research, requiring students to complete either a thesis or dissertation. Typically, candidates are expected to earn an M.S. or equivalent qualification prior to commencing Ph.D. studies. Doctoral candidates must pursue at least one secondary focus area in a complementary discipline like Economics. The Master of Professional Studies (Agriculture) serves as a final degree for experienced professionals seeking advanced training relevant to their field.

Applicants to the field of applied economics and management need not have majored in agricultural economics or economics as undergraduates to be considered for admission to the MS program, although any deficiencies in preparation will lengthen the graduate program.
