The Master of Arts in Economics is a specialized graduate program designed to prepare students with sophisticated analytical capabilities and quantitative expertise for careers as economic analysts across various sectors including business, consulting, central banking, and government. The curriculum delivers comprehensive training in core economic theories, mathematical modeling techniques, and computational tools for analyzing extensive datasets. This is achieved through a foundational sequence of microeconomics, macroeconomics, statistics, and econometrics, complemented by four specialized electives. These advanced courses, tailored specifically for master's candidates and separate from our doctoral and undergraduate curricula, enhance quantitative proficiency and provide focused expertise across diverse economic disciplines. The program features instruction primarily from our distinguished research faculty and can be completed within a single academic year. The MA in Economics holds STEM designation.
