While we don't admit students seeking only a master's degree, we welcome applicants pursuing a master's as a pathway to the PhD.
The Statistics PhD program at Cornell prepares scholars for research and teaching careers in higher education or comparable roles in industrial and governmental settings. In their transcripts applicants must show strength in the mathematical sciences. Applicants must also demonstrate strong motivation for advanced study in statistics.

IELTS Academic - 7.0; TOEFL - The Graduate School’s official minimum sub-scores for each element of the TOEFL iBT are: Speaking: 22, Reading: 20, Listening: 15, Writing: 20.
