The University of Washington's Statistics PhD program seeks passionate, qualified students aiming for research-focused careers in both theoretical and applied Statistics and Probability. UW's Statistics Department provides resources for experimental design, data modeling and analysis to address scientific inquiries, and visualizing intricate data relationships. Undergraduate students have participated in research areas like data mining, spatial statistics, math education, and data visualization. Beyond its own degree programs, the Department contributes to the Applied and Computational Mathematical Sciences (ACMS) major.
