To obtain an Associate in Science Degree, students must complete at least 60 units of coursework that counts toward the degree, fulfilling both major and general education requirements while maintaining a minimum 2.0 GPA. All courses in the major must be completed with a C grade or higher. While culinary arts often brings cooking to mind, encompassing techniques, food safety protocols, and proper kitchen equipment handling, the field extends far beyond these fundamentals.

A culinary profession involves artistic food presentation, exceptional guest experiences, coordinating special events, marketing initiatives, as well as operational and entrepreneurial aspects - essentially all food-related dimensions within hospitality. At CCC, students gain practical experience with diverse culinary traditions and methods in our state-of-the-art training facilities. Our modern instructional kitchen features all the equipment found in contemporary restaurant environments.
