Columbia's dual degree programs offer adaptable enrollment options that can vary by semester or academic year. However, students should note that SIPA financial assistance is exclusively applicable during semesters when attending SIPA and cannot be transferred to other Columbia institutions under any conditions. During your time at Columbia, the school you're currently attending will assess your financial aid qualifications, which may include scholarships, fellowships, assistantships, student loans, or Work Study opportunities. Dual degree candidates have equal access to SIPA funding opportunities as their non-dual degree counterparts. When enrolled at another Columbia school, it's crucial to stay informed about SIPA's relevant deadlines and processes. Leveraging Columbia University's extensive resources, SIPA provides multiple dual degree collaborations with other schools within the university. These programs enable students to acquire complementary expertise, skills, and viewpoints beyond International and Public Affairs. Pursuing a dual degree allows students to earn two qualifications in a shorter timeframe compared to completing them individually.
In order to be eligible for admission, international applicants must hold, or be in the process of obtaining, the equivalent of a U.S. baccalaureate degree.
