The Architecture PhD program focuses on preparing scholars specializing in architectural history and theory. Its curriculum acknowledges the dual responsibilities of academic professionals: educating students while producing groundbreaking research that advances and recontextualizes knowledge within a wider intellectual framework. The program offers core courses to establish fundamental expertise in architectural history and theory, while maintaining adaptability for personalized research paths. Concentrating on global architectural developments from the 18th century onward, the program facilitates diverse research opportunities through faculty specialization and collaborative partnerships across university departments.
Applicant must have the equivalent of the U.S. baccalaureate degree with a superior examination record and can understand rapid idiomatic English and can speak, write and read English with a high degree of facility are eligible for admission.
