The Doctor of Education (EdD) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs cater to individuals pursuing careers in academic research, applied studies, or leadership roles within educational institutions, medical schools, research centers, and government organizations.
Working closely with faculty advisors, students craft a tailored anthropology curriculum to achieve advanced expertise. The PhD requires at least 75 graduate credits, with up to 30 transferable credits from accredited institutions.
The coursework equips students with comprehensive understanding of anthropological theories, research methods, and ethnographic practices, fostering disciplinary mastery while supporting individual academic pursuits.
Applicants who have completed, or are completing, undergraduate and/or graduate degrees at institutions outside of the United States are required to submit a full course-by-course evaluation including verified transcripts for U.S. degree equivalency.
