The Graduate Degree Program in Ecology (GDPE) ranks among the top ecology graduate programs nationally and globally. We maintain a strong legacy of exceptional research, scholarly publications, and successful career outcomes for our graduates.The GDPE provides exceptional graduate education opportunities in ecology. The Master of Science in Ecology program prepares students to become scientific professionals capable of applying interdisciplinary approaches to solve ecological problems at various scales. Plan A (thesis track) students conduct original research under faculty supervision, with the goal of publishing their findings. Plan B offers a non-thesis alternative that requires special approval.
