Organ students can showcase their skills on the renowned Casavant organ. Installed in 1968, this instrument has achieved global recognition as one of the top 25 organs worldwide (Anton Heiller, 1968). Crafted in the North German style, Colorado State University's Casavant organ stands out for its exceptional tonal balance and voicing. Beyond practicing and receiving lessons on the Casavant, students also get access to three other outstanding Fort Collins organs through partnerships with local churches: St. Luke's Episcopal Church's Phelps organ, First United Methodist Church's Marcussen & Son organ, and the American Baptist Church's Allen Digital organ. Harpsichord students train on a Dennis Brown-built instrument (1982) featuring two manuals and three choirs, designed to match the specifications of Taskin, the celebrated French harpsichord maker for the Louis court at Versailles.
