This program equips students with diverse opportunities rooted in cellular and molecular biology, along with human/animal anatomy and physiology. Beyond mandatory coursework, students can explore specialized electives and laboratory research in fields like endocrinology, pharmacology, neurophysiology, reproductive physiology, and cardiopulmonary studies. This flexibility allows students to customize their education to align with career aspirations. Graduates will be well-prepared for advanced studies in medical, veterinary, dental, or pharmacy schools, as well as nursing, physician assistant, and physical therapy programs. The Anatomy and Physiology track also provides a foundation for graduate research in animal/human health sciences and careers in emerging biotech fields.
The core science curriculum fulfills prerequisites for professional school admission. Hands-on learning is emphasized through lab research, teaching assistantships, student organization leadership, study abroad programs, internships, and honors coursework. These experiences are tailored to each student's interests and professional objectives.
