The Mines Analytical Geochemistry Graduate Program caters to both full-time students and professionals seeking to enhance their expertise in this rapidly growing discipline. Participants will gain foundational knowledge in geochemical analysis along with practical training in data collection and interpretation methods, equipping them to adapt to evolving challenges in earth and environmental sciences.
This interdisciplinary Geochemistry Graduate Program prepares students working at the crossroads of geological and chemical sciences. It offers two distinct subprograms featuring multiple degree options: two MS/PhD tracks, two non-thesis professional master's programs, and a graduate certificate. The Geochemistry (GC) track focuses on Earth's historical development, exploring topics like crust/mantle chemical evolution, energy resource geochemistry, aqueous systems, fluid-mineral interactions, and chemical mineralogy. The Environmental Biogeochemistry (EBGC) track examines the interconnected chemical and biological processes within Earth's biosphere and their anthropogenic alterations.
