The Bachelor of Science in Ceramic Engineering at Colorado School of Mines equips undergraduates with essential knowledge and specialized skills for careers in technical and traditional ceramics. Building on the university's established leadership in materials science and engineering, Mines' ceramic engineering program leverages advanced ceramics research, state-of-the-art facilities, and robust industry collaborations. Created through close consultation with industry specialists, this undergraduate curriculum places significant emphasis on modern technical ceramics and glass.
Students gain practical experience in ceramic processing, sintering, glass science, and mechanical/electrical properties, with special attention to the materials' distinctive thermal characteristics.
