Students pursuing economics through the joint degree program will gain from combining William & Mary's broad liberal arts curriculum with St Andrews' specialized academic progression. The partnership leverages each institution's distinct advantages. Both economics departments excel in applied economic theory, with St Andrews demonstrating particular expertise in dynamic macroeconomics, financial studies, household economics, competitive markets, innovation, and environmental economics. St Andrews houses two specialized research hubs - the Centre for Dynamic Macroeconomic Analysis and the Centre for Research in Industry, Enterprise, Finance and the Firm. Meanwhile, William & Mary's Economics Department shines in health economics, experimental economics, and international economic studies. William & Mary's economics faculty also play prominent roles in several research centers including The Schroeder Center for Health Policy, the Thomas Jefferson Program in Public Policy, and the Reves Center for International Studies.

Secondary School Report Form including official records of your courses and grades from all secondary schools and universities you have attended. Please note that in order to have complete secondary school records, we need to have records from your ninth grade year (last year of middle or junior high school) as well as your complete senior high school records. These records must be sent directly to us from your school. Certified non-English transcripts or grade reports should be accompanied by official (literal, not interpretive) translations. Generally, William & Mary is looking for a minimum score of 100 on the TOEFL exam which can come from a single test date or from ETS' My Best score calculation. On the IELTS Academic Test, we are looking for an overall band score of 7 or above.
