The Mechanical Engineering program equips students for diverse technical and professional careers grounded in mechanical engineering, spanning fields such as aeronautics, aerospace, power generation, energy conversion and conservation, transportation, manufacturing, product design, robotics, controls, and more. Moreover, the comprehensive nature of the mechanical engineering curriculum provides graduates with the versatility and adaptability to engage with the latest and most innovative technologies. Graduates may also leverage their educational foundation to pursue careers in research and development, business, management, law, and other areas, especially when combined with appropriate graduate studies. Students acquire the skills to apply mathematical, scientific, and engineering principles across various situations. They refine their ability to utilize the techniques, skills, and tools essential for scientific and engineering practice, as well as to design and carry out experiments. They also learn to analyze and interpret data effectively.
If you have successfully completed your high school degree (12 years of primary and secondary education), you are considered an undergraduate student at CSU.
Meet minimum test score requirements:
TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based): 78 and at least 17 in each section
TOEFL PBT (Paper-Based): 550
IELTS: 6.0 and at least 5.0 in each section
PTE (Pearsons Test of English): 50
iTEP: 3.8
ACT English Score: 20
SAT Critical Reading Score: 470
