This program trains students in essential welding techniques such as Oxy/Acetylene, MIG, Arc, and TIG welding. It prepares participants to pass AWS certification tests and join the workforce within 1-2 years. The curriculum requires completion of 19-20 units across mandatory courses. Program Outcomes: Graduates will interpret engineering blueprints and apply technical math to welding scenarios. They'll execute both basic and complex welding projects using multiple methods. The program also covers metallurgy principles, heat treatment processes, and machine tool fundamentals.

Qualification Requirements

Secondary or high school school students - submit proof of completion of secondary education by submitting your transcripts, a graduation certificate, or diploma. If you have not yet graduated from your secondary school, you may apply with in-progress transcripts and must submit final documents showing completion prior to enrollment at GCC.
College or university students - submit transcripts of all colleges/universities you have attended. Secondary or high school records are not required if you have completed at least one term of college or university.
