The BA/MPA program enables students to earn both a Bachelor's in Urban and Regional Studies and a Master of Public Administration from the School of Urban Affairs in just five years, saving one year compared to traditional full-time study. Exceptional undergraduates can apply during their junior year to this accelerated pathway, taking MPA courses during their senior year and a bridge term. The remaining graduate coursework can then be finished in two full-time semesters. This intensive five-year dual-degree option is tailored for top-performing Urban and Regional Studies majors seeking to launch their public administration careers sooner. Participants must adhere to a structured course sequence approved by their program advisor. Deviation from the prescribed curriculum may result in removal from the accelerated track, requiring a return to the standard BA program.
