The counselor education program trains future counselors to become scholar-practitioners capable of working with diverse communities. The coursework equips counseling professionals to pursue outreach and advocacy initiatives through teamwork. Students gain hands-on experience applying theoretical concepts, research findings, and practical skills, with a focus on wellness promotion, preventive measures, and therapeutic interventions.

This CACREP-accredited program provides a 60-credit Master of Education degree with concentrations in either clinical mental health counseling or school counseling. Additionally, students can pursue a 30-credit educational specialist degree in counselor education.
