Recognized nationally by The Education Trust for its excellence in transforming school counseling, our Master of Arts in School Counseling equips you for certification as a school counselor across all grade levels while empowering you to drive positive change in pre K-12 education. This program fosters your professional growth as a school counselor with a strong emphasis on promoting social justice and educational equity. You'll explore diverse theoretical frameworks while learning to understand students within their broader social contexts. The curriculum includes rigorous, supervised field placements that offer hands-on experience implementing prevention strategies, intervention methods, and assessment approaches in real school settings.
You must have a bachelor’s degree from an institution recognized by a regional accrediting association.
You must have earned a minimum of a 2.75 GPA from the undergraduate degree-granting institution.
Required Scores to demonstrate English Proficiency: TOEFL iBT 79; IELTS 6.5 Band; Pearson's PTE 53
Students in our program begin courses in the Fall Semester.
