The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre program equips students with the expertise and abilities needed to thrive in this highly competitive industry. Participants will gain the capacity to evaluate, articulate, and understand the diverse functions and obligations of professional theatre artists. Additionally, graduates will be equipped to transfer their acquired competencies to various career trajectories connected to their field of study.
This curriculum develops specialized production capabilities by establishing a robust base of physical training through vocal performance, speech, and theatrical movement tailored to musical theatre. Learners select from an array of courses spanning foundational to advanced levels, including composition, physical expression, choreography, and vocal techniques. To enhance career readiness for professional opportunities or further education, all participants are urged to gain hands-on experience via TH 490 - Cooperative Education internships, along with performance-based courses that integrate academic concepts into real-world applications as part of Central Theatre Ensemble's campus productions.
