The Master of Arts in Art History program equips students with comprehensive knowledge across key art historical eras, scholarly resources, and research methodologies. This program enables in-depth exploration of art historical topics. Applicants must submit GRE scores along with the standard graduate school application, plus two exemplary research papers. Before earning their degree, MA candidates must complete a qualifying paper—either a revised seminar/course paper or an original research project. This paper should demonstrate publishable-quality research, following the Art Bulletin's formatting guidelines for text and citations.
