The BSN program focuses on patient-centered care while working alongside diverse healthcare professionals and dedicating service to our community. Students start their clinical training in their very first semester and culminate their studies with a 280-hour senior preceptorship. Upon graduation, they'll have accumulated more than 1000 clinical hours - surpassing most nursing programs. Each year, students also deliver healthcare to children and families, contributing roughly 16,000 service hours to area schools.
Our learning environment blends traditional active-learning classrooms with top-tier clinical facilities, community locations, and the Center for Nursing Education, Simulation & Innovation (CNESI). Clinical rotations take place at Cleveland's world-renowned medical institutions like University Hospitals, Cleveland Clinic, MetroHealth Medical Center System, and the VA. Students also gain broad experience through placements in community health departments, neighborhood centers, and Cleveland public schools.
