The School of Nursing's honors program focuses on academic excellence and leadership development, encouraging students to examine critical challenges facing the nursing field at the microsystem level.
At UNC Charlotte, the School of Nursing educates future nurses to become skilled practitioners, visionary leaders, and dedicated scholars through cutting-edge programs that address the changing demands of our diverse healthcare landscape. Their mission centers on delivering top-tier nursing education, research, and clinical practice while actively collaborating with communities to enhance health outcomes across the Charlotte area and worldwide. Five fundamental principles guide the School of Nursing: ethical practice, creative thinking, collaborative spirit, inclusive excellence, and intellectual rigor. The school provides both bachelor's and master's level programs. Undergraduate students can pursue a BSN through either the Upper-Division Pre-Licensure track or the RN-to-BSN completion pathway. Graduate offerings include an MSN with multiple specialization options and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. Flexible learning formats, including traditional in-person classes and online options, are available for the RN-to-BSN program and select MSN concentrations.
