Discover the rewarding field of nursing through our program. The EWU Bachelor of Science in Nursing accepts 40 students each for fall and spring terms. This four-year full-time program begins with two years of foundational studies, covering general education requirements and nursing prerequisites. The last two years (four semesters) of specialized nursing instruction take place at our Spokane campus in the SIERR Building, combining classroom learning with hands-on lab and clinical training. Initial coursework includes biology, chemistry, psychology, and other sciences. After BSN program admission, students delve into specialized subjects like pharmacology, health assessment, various nursing specialties, and healthcare leadership.
In order to be eligible for admissions, interested individuals must:
Apply to EWU or be admitted to EWU for the term they are applying for.
Achieve a minimum grade of C or 2.0 GPA in any course at the time of application.
At the time of application, have a 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA in the Nursing Prerequisites
At the time of application, have a 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA in all college-level coursework from all schools attended.
If invited, attend the interview portion of the admission process.
Complete the EWU Nursing Prerequisites and EWU Breadth Area Core Requirements (BACR) and EWU Graduation Requirements prior to entry
