The Latin American and Latino/a Studies program offers an interdisciplinary curriculum drawing from various academic fields to provide students with a holistic perspective on Latin America's history, society, and culture, as well as Latino/a communities. Through courses in social sciences, arts, and Spanish language, students explore both historical and modern topics, including identity, cultural heritage, and artistic expression. Graduates will gain expertise in Latin American history, geography, cultural practices, and societal challenges. This program encourages students to embrace its multidisciplinary framework, applying diverse viewpoints from the Humanities and Social Sciences. Participants will develop strong communication abilities in Spanish, critical analysis skills, and a nuanced understanding of cross-cultural dynamics.
