The CSUSB School of Social Work provides a curriculum culminating in a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. This program aligns with the standards set by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), the national accrediting agency for social work education. MSW courses are available both on the San Bernardino main campus and through the online Pathway Distance Education Program, with no current offerings at the Palm Desert Campus.

Two-Year Program: A full-time intensive track spanning two academic years (4 semesters), ideal for students who can dedicate themselves exclusively to studies.

Three-Year Program: A more flexible option spread across three academic years (6 semesters), designed for students balancing work or other commitments alongside their education. While equally rigorous, the workload is distributed over a longer period.

Pathway Distance Education Program: This online version mirrors the three-year program, catering to students who cannot attend in-person classes due to geographical distance or personal circumstances.
