The Advanced Standing Master of Social Work (MSW-ASP) program in Downtown LA equips graduate students for specialized social work practice, enabling them to deliver high-quality services to individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities. Designed for those holding a BSW from an accredited institution, this accelerated program lets qualified students earn their MSW in just one year. At Cal State LA, students begin with a three-unit summer course before advancing directly to upper-division graduate coursework, bypassing first-year foundational classes through the program's advanced standing pathway.

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - 80 ibt or higher , International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - Band 6.0 or higher , Toefl Paper - 550
