At times, students may want to explore specialized interests or professional aspirations that aren't fully addressed by current graduate programs. The Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies caters to these students by enabling them to design a customized master's degree program or one that isn't substantially available through existing university offerings. This tailored degree serves as a rigorous academic path for driven students with well-defined goals and the foundational knowledge to undertake advanced studies across multiple disciplines. The Interdisciplinary Studies M.A. program supports distinctive student interests or prepares learners for emerging fields not currently covered by the university's curriculum. Rather than replacing established degree programs, it enhances the institution's academic portfolio. Students develop their program in collaboration with the Dean of Graduate Studies and a faculty committee of three members drawn from diverse academic fields. After committee approval, the proposed program moves forward to the University Curriculum Committee for final endorsement.
