The Master of Science (MS) in Biological Sciences provides specialized education in biological sciences, combining academic study with hands-on thesis research. This program equips graduates for professional roles in education, government, and industry, while also serving as preparation for PhD studies or career advancement in teaching, lab research, or field studies.
Our faculty bring diverse specializations across biological disciplines. Each student collaborates with a graduate advisor to create a customized study plan, formulate unique research projects, and finalize their thesis. Thesis work can be performed either on campus or at approved external sites with faculty guidance.
To earn the MS degree, students must complete 30 credit hours of coursework and original research, culminating in a thesis based on biological field or laboratory investigations.
