Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a psychology discipline focused on identifying environmental factors that consistently impact human behavior and creating methods to change behaviors with social importance.
The Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis program aims to equip students to (a) critically analyze behavioral patterns across diverse social contexts, populations, and professional domains, (b) understand and contribute to behavior-analytic research, (c) pursue ABA careers by obtaining required certifications/licenses to practice as behavior analysts, (d) serve varied communities as scientist-practitioners at the Master's level, and (e) prepare for doctoral studies in behavior analysis.
The ABA program trains students for behavior analyst roles in multiple environments, including educational institutions and organizations supporting individuals with disabilities. The curriculum meets the qualifications for the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BCBA) exam. This degree also suits students intending to pursue doctoral studies in Applied Behavior Analysis, Experimental Analysis of Behavior, or Special Education.
