This program equips students for professional paths in nutrition, food service administration, public health nutrition, and sustainable food systems. The bachelor's degree program readies graduates for opportunities in nutritional sciences, food service leadership, public nutrition programs, and eco-conscious food production. The Nutrition and Food bachelor's program focuses on dietary impacts on health, sociocultural determinants of food choices, and operational management of food service establishments. Students may pursue the Dietetics Concentration (Didactic Program in Dietetics) to qualify for supervised training required to take the Commission on Dietetic Registration certification exam for registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) status, while also preparing for advanced studies and careers in medical nutrition therapy, public health nutrition, consulting, food service management, and nutritional research.
