Qualification Requirements
Transcripts of all college-level undergraduate and graduate work done at all institutions attended (Unofficial transcripts from the institutions are accpetable),
A one-page resume showing dates of education and work experiences,
A one-page statement of purpose written by the candidate indicating objectives for graduate study.
A sample of the applicant's writing ability (example: an academic paper from an advanced undergraduate course)
The minimum requirements for a candidate to be admitted under classified status are:
1) a BA or BS degree from an accredited university or college in Political Science or related fields, or completion of minimum equivalency* as defined in CSUN Catalog,
2) a GPA of at least 3.25 in all undergraduate and graduate Political Science courses, and
3) a GPA of at least 3.25 in the last 60 units of all course work.
Have a four-year baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution
Be in good academic standing at the last college or university attended
Have satisfied one of the following conditions:
Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 in all undergraduate units
Have a minimum GPA of 2.5 in the last 60 semester/90 quarter units from all post-secondary institutions
Hold an acceptable post-baccalaureate degree earned at a regionally accredited institution and:
Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 in all units attempted as an undergraduate, or
Have a minimum GPA of 2.5 in the last 60 semester/90 quarter units attempted from all post-secondary institutions attended.
All OFFICIAL transcripts for any college or university courses you have completed in original language of issue. Your records must include official verification of degree completion.
Official English translations of all academic records.
