The Bachelor of Arts in Sociology offers a broad liberal arts education, equipping students with critical thinking skills, the ability to conceptualize challenges, and apply theoretical frameworks to practical situations. Students learn to gather, assess, and interpret data, conduct research initiatives, and appreciate diversity-related matters. This knowledge base opens doors to diverse career paths including social services, data analysis, nonprofit leadership, education, labor relations, policy development, HR management, market analysis, and community advocacy. The program also serves as excellent preparation for advanced studies in sociology and similar disciplines. Students may optionally specialize in one of three tracks: Social Welfare and Justice, Inequality and Diversity, or Social Movements and Political Sociology.
