The Latin American Studies Program provides interdisciplinary education concentrating on Latin America's history, economies, political systems, cultural expressions, artistic works, literary traditions, and social activism, along with examining the cross-border experiences of Latin American communities worldwide. Students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies gain access to diverse professional paths both domestically and internationally, spanning government service, education, nonprofit sectors, commerce, and various other industries. To complete the BA in Latin American Studies, students must fulfill 120 total credit hours, with 39 credits dedicated to the major. For precise credit requirements across all degree components, including general education and elective courses, students should meet with their academic advisor.
