Students pursuing a Master of Science in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) develop expertise in English language instruction. This interdisciplinary program combines coursework from English studies, linguistics, education, anthropology, American studies, communication sciences, and psychology. Qualification Requirements

You are eligible to apply as a graduate student if you have earned a degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree.
You must have completed a four-year college course of study and hold an acceptable baccalaureate degree from an institution accredited by a regional accrediting association or an equivalent academic preparation before enrollment in the program.
Be in good academic standing at the last college or university attended.
Official Transcripts are required from the university where the bachelor's degree is earned. Submit a word-for-word certified English translation along with the Official original-language transcripts.
Have earned a cumulative grade-point average of at least 2.5 from the last degree completed by the candidate or have attained a grade-point average of at least 2.5 (A=4.0) in the last 60 semester (90 quarter) units attempted.
the candidate must have a 3.0 grade-point average in the major and a minimum 2.7 GPA in the last 60 semester units attempted.
For non-native English-speaking applicants who completed their bachelor's degrees in a language other than English, the following are required: a minimum IELTS score of 7.0 overall, or a minimum TOEFL score of 573 for paper-based or 89 for the iBT, a minimum score of 26 on the speaking section of the iBT or 7.0 on the speaking section of the IELTS (to be verified no later than at the end of the student's first semester in the program).
