The Master of Fine Arts in Art offers an intensive studio-based curriculum designed for dedicated, skilled students committed to artistic excellence. The program and faculty push participants to refine their craft with the aim of establishing professional artistic careers. Students pursue specialized study through an approved plan in these concentrations: ceramics, crafts (encompassing jewelry/metalsmithing and woodworking), creative photography and experimental media, drawing and painting (including printmaking), exhibition design, glasswork, graphic design, illustration, and sculpture. The Department of Art, accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design since 1974, provides comprehensive programs spanning: art history, theory, analysis, and criticism; studio disciplines like ceramics, game art, animation, and immersive media; creative photography and experimental media; drawing and painting (including printmaking); entertainment arts and animation; exhibition design; glasswork; graphic and interactive design; illustration; jewelry and metals; sculpture; and single-subject art education/teaching credentials.
