Experience Design is a comprehensive, interdisciplinary method that prioritizes enhancing human interactions in specific contexts. It utilizes research, analysis, innovation, and technology to interpret human objectives, requirements, and aspirations while shaping user experiences. Northeastern University's Experience Design program champions evidence-based design methodologies for entrepreneurial ventures and inventive solutions, targeting pressing worldwide issues. The Graduate Program in Experience Design equips students to emerge as influential members and directors of professional teams where design meets technological advancement. Graduates will develop expertise in evaluating real-life user scenarios, allowing them to enhance interactions by creating new design-led connections. They'll acquire capabilities to pinpoint both limitations and possibilities for better engagement among objects, systems (digital or tangible), and their users.
By studying human behavior within actual environments involving built spaces and new technologies, CAMD's Experience Design graduate programs enable students from diverse backgrounds (including architecture, business, engineering, media, computing, medicine, arts, and social sciences) or working professionals to master design skills for solving community-wide problems. Students will develop techniques to foster teamwork, interdisciplinary partnerships, and unified approaches across various fields.
