The Master of Fine Arts in Art program offers an intensive studio experience designed for dedicated, accountable, and gifted students. Through its curriculum and faculty guidance, the program pushes participants to refine their skills with the aim of establishing themselves as professional artists. Students pursuing an M.F.A. can specialize in various disciplines, including ceramics, crafts (encompassing jewelry/metalsmithing and woodworking), creative photography and experimental media, drawing and painting (including printmaking), exhibition design, glass, graphic design, illustration, and sculpture. The Department of Art, accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design since 1974, provides comprehensive programs spanning art history, theory, analysis, and criticism, alongside studio disciplines such as ceramics, game art, animation, immersive media, creative photography, experimental media, drawing, painting (including printmaking), entertainment arts, animation, exhibition design, glass, graphic and interactive design, illustration, jewelry and metals, sculpture, and art education/teaching for single-subject credentialing.
