The bachelor's program equips students for supervised social work practice or further education in various graduate programs and professional schools, including master's degrees in social work.
This structured social work bachelor's program spans four consecutive semesters. Students must fulfill all prerequisites before starting. Cohorts begin exclusively in fall semesters, with no spring admissions. Prospective social work majors need to complete prerequisites and gain admission before taking restricted 100-level courses. Freshmen at Fresno State join the major after proving their capability through achievement in the pre-health major track.
