The Bachelor of Arts in Social Work equips students with the values, knowledge, and foundational skills needed for social work practice in diverse communities. This program aims to: offer professional development for current social workers and human services professionals, prepare graduates for entry-level social work roles, and provide a foundation for advanced studies in social work or related fields. To earn the degree, students must complete 120 units total, with 72 units dedicated to the major. This includes 45 upper-division social work courses, 6 prerequisite units, 6 elective units in social work, and 15 unrestricted electives. Students should meet with an advisor to review unit requirements for general education and elective courses.
