The Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology is provided through the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences. This program aims to equip students with both academic knowledge and clinical skills necessary for obtaining California state licensure, ASHA national certification in Speech-Language Pathology, and the California public school Speech-Language-Hearing Services credential.
Speech-language pathology and audiology focus on ensuring accessible communication for all while professionally assisting individuals with speech, language, hearing, cognitive, and swallowing challenges. The program combines demanding academic coursework with comprehensive clinical experience. It holds accreditation from both the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and California's Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC).
