Theatre students receive specialized, career-oriented training while engaging in comprehensive liberal arts education. Through hands-on studio classes, practical workshops, and full-scale productions, they acquire practical theatre skills that prepare them for professional entry-level positions or further education in advanced theatre programs and graduate studies.
By examining textual analysis, literature, and theatre history, students gain insight into theatre's cultural significance while developing critical thinking, clear reasoning, creative imagination, and effective communication about theatre and its broader context.
Both BA and BFA programs build upon a shared foundation of historical knowledge, literary studies, and aesthetic theory. The Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts offers a balanced curriculum, allowing students to choose from various lower and upper-level electives in performance, technical theatre/design, and dramatic literature/history after completing core requirements.
