The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology provides a comprehensive liberal arts education, equipping students with fundamental knowledge about the scientific exploration of mental processes and actions. Our program's learning goals encompass understanding biological foundations of behavior, cognitive and sensory functions, memory and learning systems, societal and cultural impacts on conduct, developmental psychology, approaches to psychological disorders, and factors shaping personality and wellness. Students will additionally gain expertise in research methods and statistical analysis, learning to assess studies, create experiments, and interpret data. The curriculum fosters professional communication abilities through written reports and public speaking exercises.

Our approach prioritizes examining human conduct through scientific inquiry. We highlight ethical considerations, social awareness, and cultural diversity's role in shaping behavior globally. The psychology department focuses on applying psychological principles to benefit society while nurturing comfort with uncertainty, sharpening analytical reasoning, and instilling professional ethics.
