Pursuing studies in the English Department provides insight into British, American, and global English-language literatures, along with exploring the English language itself—its artistic and practical qualities, applications, and techniques for expressing thoughts and conveying messages.
Students can earn a Bachelor of Arts in English with two specialization options: The Language and Literature track (EMLL) or the Credential Emphasis path (EMCE).
Graduate studies include a Master of Arts in English, featuring an optional Writing Instruction Certificate.
The Department also provides undergraduate minors in English Literature, Linguistics, and Children's Literature, plus post-baccalaureate certificates in Writing and Children's Literature.
