The mathematics program aims to provide students with a comprehensive grasp of contemporary mathematics, expose them to cutting-edge research, and equip them for higher-level studies in pure mathematics or allied disciplines. Mathematics majors delve deeper than fundamental concepts, exploring algebraic structures, analytical methods, geometric principles, along with introductory combinatorics and set theory. Upperclassmen can specialize in their preferred domains by enrolling in advanced topic courses and collaborating with professors on research projects. The curriculum emphasizes developing skills to formulate logical, rigorous proofs, solve complex problems, and effectively utilize computational resources when applicable.
