Brown University offers a 5th-Year Master's program in Behavioral and Social Health Sciences (BSHS), enabling undergraduates to pursue a Master's degree immediately after earning their Bachelor's. Students can apply up to two qualifying undergraduate courses toward the eight required for the Master's, reducing the remaining tuition units to six. These transferred courses cannot fulfill undergraduate concentration requirements and must have received a B grade or higher. A minimum of six semester courses must be completed during BSHS residency.

International applicants, like all applicants to Brown, are expected to complete secondary school. Brown's first-year students will have completed 12 to 13 years of primary and secondary schooling.
